TT Collection for Origin

When we first started talking to Origin about designs, they told us that they were missing a big wooden table for outdoor projects.
It needed to be versatile, something that would work indoors or out, in singles, doubles or runs of three or more.

Tables like this need to work visually in a domestic environment, but they also might need to withstand six or seven football fans jumping up and down on it when their team scores.
The challenge was to design something big and solid and strong whilst giving it a little bit of character.

There are tables at various lengths, and benches with and without backs. A family of pieces that share similar sections and proportions, and the same sturdy construction.

Historically, Iroko has been used for boatbuilding and exterior joinery, where long-term weather resistance is essential.
The wood contains natural oils which give it good durability. It has excellent resistance to rot, insects, and moisture, making it well suited for outdoor environments without any chemical treatment.
It’s dimensionally stable, meaning it moves relatively little with humidity changes compared to many hardwoods.
Like teak, it contains natural oils that slow weathering and help resist decay, so it performs well without constant maintenance.
